Baking can look intimidating, but I’m here to prove that it’s within reach — and you can be proud of the bakes and dishes you create!
Preston’s Pantry was inside me all along. I’ve been baking since I was a kid, but I never knew how to pursue it professionally or for a living. In the meantime, I followed other interests. I earned two degrees in English literature and began publishing poetry in myriad literary journals. I’ve even published a couple of poetry chapbooks. But I’m an editor by day, and the media industry is, putting it modestly, in shambles. Layoffs are ravaging the industry, and though I haven’t been laid off (yet), I’m taking this opportunity to follow my dreams of baking on a bigger scale.
This is where Preston’s Pantry was truly born. I bake all the time anyway, so I bought some filming equipment to bring my baking adventures to social media. Now, I can share my sweet and savory bakes (plus some savory cooking!) with everyone in hopes of working up to selling my baked goods in real life, too.
If you’re reading this, thank you for making it this far. I appreciate every single person who has supported Preston’s Pantry in any capacity. You mean the world to me.
Curious how you can support Preston’s Pantry as it gets off the ground?
